Check the administrative contact’s email address for the domain you want to transfer to ensure that the address is correct. A transfer confirmation email will be sent to the administrative contact from Network Solutions once a transfer request has been submitted. The administrative contact must confirm the domain transfer via a link in the email.

HINT: Check the administrative contact’s email address in WHOIS

You should be able to view the status of the lock setting in the account management system of your current registrar.

HINT: To unlock your domain, you may call Customer Service at your current registrar and ask them to unlock your domain name or login to your current account with them to turn off the lock feature on the domain(s).

  • To complete the transfer, the administrative contact receives an email and they must click on the secure link to authorize the transfer. The subject line of the email will be: “Please Confirm Your Domain Name Transfer.”

Once they click on the link within the email, a page will pop up titled “Transfer Your Domain Name Registration.” Then they select the Authorize and Submit buttons and the transfer is authorized. Confused about the cost of LASIK? It’s understandable. After all, if you want to buy a mobile phone or a dining room table or an automobile, all you have to do is go online and do a search to compare prices.

With elective surgeries such as LASIK. solid price information is hard to find online, and the cost of LASIK eye surgery can vary quite a bit from one provider to another. Prices depend on what technology the surgeon uses, how much vision correction you need, how difficult your procedure is and more. We explain these factors in our article, “How to Compare Laser Eye Surgery Costs .”

Here are average prices for LASIK and other excimer laser vision correction procedures (PRK. Epi-LASIK. LASEK ) performed in the United States in 2015. These figures are based on an annual survey of refractive surgeons conducted by a leading vision care industry analyst.

    Average LASIK Eye Surgery Costs

Keep in mind that these prices are for LASIK or other laser vision correction performed on one eye only. To estimate your cost of LASIK on both eyes, you need to double the price quoted.

Cost of LASIK, per eye (2015)

Also, if you choose bladeless LASIK. where the corneal flap is created with a femtosecond laser instead of a microkeratome. expect to pay at least a couple hundred dollars more (per eye) than the average prices quoted here. The same is true if you choose custom LASIK that employs wavefront technology for the most precise vision correction possible.

In 2015, the average price for LASIK and other types of laser vision correction surgery was $2,077 per eye. This is slightly lower than the average price in 2014, which was $2,118 per eye.

    Pricing Methods

More than 3 out of 4 refractive surgeons (78 percent) said they quote a single price for LASIK and other excimer laser-based procedures for all patients, according to a 2015 survey.

The other surgeons (22 percent) quote different prices depending on the technology used and/or the amount of refractive error and vision correction required by the patient.

Charging a single price means newer technologies such as customized wavefront procedures and laser-created flaps are not priced separately as “extras” that are charged in addition to a basic fee for a laser vision correction procedure.

Are Bargain Prices Available For LASIK?

It’s not unusual to see advertisements promising LASIK for less than $1,000 per eye, which may sound like a great bargain.

    But it’s likely that:

    • The “bargain” LASIK price is only for the correction of mild nearsightedness. If you have farsightedness, astigmatism, or moderate to high amounts of nearsightedness, the cost of LASIK may be significantly higher than the advertised price.
    • The offer price doesn’t cover all fees. For instance, you may have only a limited number of follow-up visits, and if there’s a problem, additional post-op care could cost extra. Also, the cost of enhancement/retreatment surgeries probably are not included, and you may even be charged extra for your initial consultation.
    • Your procedure may be performed with older technology. This isn’t necessarily bad, but newer technologies do offer the possibility of a more precise LASIK procedure, with less risk of complications. For example, for $499 you likely won’t receive custom LASIK or bladeless (all-laser) LASIK.

If you’re considering LASIK for an unusually low cost, make sure you get a written quote that itemizes everything in the offer. Read the fine print, and ask about all potential extra fees before going ahead with the procedure.

How To Make LASIK Surgery More Affordable

There are a number of ways to make the cost of LASIK more affordable.

Many eye care practices offer financing for LASIK and other vision surgeries. Several financing companies specialize in elective surgical procedures like LASIK and offer plans with fixed rates and long-term payments. Most LASIK surgery centers and private medical practices offer financing plans administered by these companies to their patients.

    LASIK Pricing Method (2015)

Most U.S. refractive surgeons charge a single price for all their laser procedures; others charge various prices according to the technology used or the severity/type of vision correction required by the patient.

Most vision insurance plans don’t cover refractive surgery because they consider it cosmetic and therefore medically unnecessary. However, some employers make arrangements with a given LASIK center (or refractive surgery center) for a special price.

Note that some large employers offer subsidized health plans that cover at least part of LASIK costs. If you work for a major company, ask about possible benefits that might cover elective corrective eye surgery procedures .

Also, Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) are often used to pay for laser eye surgery. This is where you can divert pre-tax salary into an account for out-of-pocket health care, if your employer offers it.

In 2016, the maximum employee contribution to an FSA was $2,550. So it’s likely you still will have to pay a portion of your LASIK surgery by other means if you use an FSA to help pay for your procedure.

Another option is to set tax-free money aside in a Health Savings Account (HSA) to pay for LASIK surgery. To be eligible for an HSA, you must be covered by a high-deductible health plan (HDHP) at work.

You can add tax-free contributions to your HSA each pay period, up to an annual limit of $3,350 for individual coverage and $6,750 for family coverage (2016 limits). And, unlike an FSA, any unspent money in your HSA at the end of the year “rolls over” so you can use it the following year or sometime further in the future.

So, depending on your budget, you could save enough money to pay the entire cost of your LASIK surgery by contributing money to your HSA over a period of two or more years.

If you’re in the U.S. military, LASIK and other corrective vision surgery options may be available to you free of charge. Your eligibility would depend at least partly on the nature of your duties.

A final note: You may be tempted to choose a surgeon based only on the fee charged, but that may be unwise. It’s better to choose the best surgeon you can find and then, if you need it, get the most affordable financing you can.

    Do Squirrels Hibernate #do #squirrels #have #nests

During spring, summer and fall there seem to be squirrels in every one’s yard, all throughout the neighborhood, but do you recall seeing any of those squirrels during winter? If not, where were they? Not seeing any squirrels during the winter can sometimes cause people to think that squirrels hibernate. A logical conclusion. But do squirrels hibernate? Surprisingly, the answer is no.

Many kinds of animals hibernate. Bears are probably the animal we think of first. But squirrels, however, do not hibernate and are active all winter long. The reason they are seldom seen is because they build nests in which they take shelter from extreme cold spells, hard winds, and blizzards. When they do venture out, they are often not seen because they are tunneling under the snow searching for the food they buried during the fall.

Throughout the spring, summer and fall squirrels bury all sorts of food, especially seeds. Acorns, sunflower seeds, pine cone seeds, etc. They do this for two reasons, the first of which is to ensure that they get the maximum benefit from any abundance of food they find. Why leave a bunch of sunflower seeds lying around where the birds will eat them when a squirrel could bury them to have all for himself?

The second reason squirrels bury food, especially in the fall, is to save up and prepare for winter. A squirrel can spend hours each day burying acorns and other seeds. They will bury each nut in a different location. When winter time comes and there are no plants producing seeds, the squirrels are somehow able to locate each of these little buried treasures, enough so to keep them well feed throughout the entire winter.

If you’d like to see squirrels this winter, purchase a squirrel feeder from Amazon, and place it outside where you can view it from a window. Fill it with peanuts, cracked corn or sunflower Seeds. Then sit back and wait, it won’t take long for the squirrels to find it.

    What is Business Administration? (with pictures) – mobile wiseGEEK #what #does #a #business #administration #degree #do

    wiseGEEK: What is Business Administration?

Business administration is the process of managing a business or non-profit organization so that it remains stable and continues to grow. This consists of a number of areas, ranging from operations to management. There are many different roles related to business administration, including business support, office manager. and Chief Executive Officer (CEO ), among others. Most companies have a dedicated group of administrators.

    Main Areas

The main areas incorporated into business administration are operations, logistics, marketing, economics. Human Resources (HR ), and management. An administrator oversees these parts of an organization to make sure that they’re all functioning properly and efficiently individually, and that they’re all working together to make the business profitable. He or she may also come up with ways to make the department more profitable, and often delegates tasks to employees in the department. Large companies usually have at least one administrator assigned to each area.

Most companies have a range of administrative roles in different parts of their corporate hierarchy. At the office level, there are business support officers, who might develop and maintain an office database, oversee other employees for projects, and help the manager with analyzing performance trends. At the next level there are office managers, who oversee an entire office, make budgets and analyses of staff performance, design procedures, and assign projects, among other things. If an organization is large, it may have several assistant managers to help the overall office manager .

After office-level managers, there are division administrators, who oversee large portions of an organization. They generally specialize in one area of business administration. For instance, a company might have a person with a specialization in HR administration oversee that department and make sure it’s working efficiently to meet the business’ overall goals. This includes things like measuring the performance of HR staff members, hiring new staff for the department if needed or getting rid of non-performing staff, and making sure that the process for hiring is workable.

The head of overall operations in business administration is usually referred to as the chief executive officer (CEO) or president. The CEO and president may be the same office, but this varies between companies. The CEO, depending on the size of the company, may have several vice presidents, each responsible for one area of company operations. For example, there could be a vice president for marketing, one for research and design, and one for sales or customer relations. Each of these operate independently.

    Work Environment

The work environment for someone in business administration depends largely on the type of job he or she is doing. Those on the lower end of the hierarchy often work in structured environments and make frequent reports to their superiors, while those higher up may have more freedom with their schedules. Depending on the type of organization, work hours may be 9 AM to 5 PM or they may be more flexible. Overtime is often required when big projects are nearing completion, or when annual analyses and presentations need to be made.

Generally speaking, anyone in this type of position needs to have excellent communication skills, as he or she will be working with a lot of different people, sending out memos, and making reports. They also need to be comfortable with making presentations, and they need to be able to lead people. Another important skill is being able to understand how many different parts of a system or organization work together, so that they can make workable systems and figure out what’s wrong with those that don’t work. Most are also very good at math and have an understanding of economics, since they usually make budgets and analyze their office, department, or company’s performance.

Many universities offer business administration programs for both online and offline study. A typical curriculum covers the critical aspects of operating a business such as customer service, business finance, marketing, and human resources. Aspiring administrators can improve their marketability by minoring in a related field such as an applied science for engineering or psychology for marketing and sales.

Most large companies want applicants that have at least a master’s degree in a business-related field. This involves getting hands-on experience, typically by interning at a corporation to get a feel for how the different aspects fit together. Depending on a student’s chosen area, he or she may need to write and enact a business plan to prove your competency; for example, a marketing or sales plan for a hypothetical product may need to be developed.
