# is focused on those with strong values. Like it or not, this is often more true of seniors than of younger people. The old adage that we become more conservative as we get older may not be entirely true, but it may well be that we become a little more steadfast in our opinions and in our values. We at appreciate that senior dating can be difficult. However, joining our site is one of the best methods to make that search for a special someone easy.

Senior Date Finder offers senior dating by providing a virtual environment to develop a relationship with someone special. You can register for free on our site, and browse the eligible men or women online who also live in rural settings and share an appreciation of the rustic settings of the farm or homestead or even the petting zoo. The ease with which you may find someone with shared values – a love of the open plains, the latest methods of organic fertilization, or perhaps a strong belief in animal welfare – increases when you consider the thousands of potentially like minded members on our site who are looking for love. Remember that love can come at any age.

Senior Dating

Here at, we offer a senior dating service that is unrivalled when it comes to dating among animal lovers, cowboys, and ranchers, among others. It’s never too late in life to find a companion, and it’s never too late for romance. Before you start your search, you might be a little anxious about looking for love again if you’ve been through a loss in love of any kind. But there are plenty of activities if you have a case of the first date jitters. Senior dating can of course involve dancing, regardless of your dance ability – unless bad hips or infirmity rules it out. Dancing brings a level of tactility and closeness you are unlikely to get on other dates. Take your date to the local dance. If you feel that you have two left feet, numerous ballrooms will also give lessons before any big events that are scheduled. Ballroom or line dancing can be a lot of fun when it comes to senior dating. but it may be embarrassing if you are no good at it. If you have a self deprecating sense of humor, however, skip the lessons and let your partner laugh at your lack of skill. It’ll be a great ice breaker. County fairs may be another great event at which to meet for a first date. Sport is another option for a senior dating outing. If you both enjoy golf, it can be a great day out. If you want something even more active, perhaps a run around the tennis court may be what you enjoy. A brisk walk or a stroll can be another great way to get to know each other. If you or your date are physically impaired and even strolling around is off the cards – which is an unfortunate possibility when it comes to senior dating – why not play a game of cards? Read each other excerpts from your favorite books, or take your date to a book reading if you have a literary bent.

Christian Dating Tips for Finding a Spiritually Compatible Partner

One of the most important decisions every person will make is choosing a life partner, a spouse who will be reliable, responsible and, yes, romantic over the long haul. No pressure!

But there’s even more pressure for people devoted to their Christian faith who want a spouse equally devoted to his or her Christian faith. If you’ve dated much, you know it’s not easy finding someone like-minded, well-matched, and in sync with your spiritual beliefs.

Let’s say you’ve started dating someone new, and the two of you are compatible in almost every way. You like the same food, music, and movies. Your career goals complement each other’s, and you laugh at the same things. Everything looks positive.

Except for one thing: You and your partner have different spiritual beliefs. Uh-oh. Now what?

There isn’t a one-size-fits-all answer to that question, and there’s no blanket solution for every situation. But for many single Christians. matters of spirituality and religion are extremely important. Their beliefs help define who they are and how they live their lives.

If you are deeply spiritual and the person you’re dating has little or no spiritual interest, the two of you are bound to encounter a barrier that separates you. If you do, you will frequently experience frustration. Whether you are currently in a relationship or hope to be in the future, this is a critical issue to clarify for yourself. Let us present four tips to help you think through your own circumstances:

Christian dating tip #1: Make spiritual compatibility a top priority. Two thousand years before eHarmony identified 29 dimensions of compatibility, St. Paul wrote about this very same principle. He said, “Don’t become partners with those who reject God. How can you make a partnership out of right and wrong? That’s not partnership; that’s war” (2 Corinthians 6:14). For people of faith, those are bold, plain-spoken words to live by.

Christian dating tip #2: Be honest with yourself. For many people, religious beliefs shape what they value, the way they relate to others, and how they respond to life’s challenges. What people believe in can’t help but influence their goals—and limit what they are willing to do to reach them. In other words, spirituality is a signpost at all the most important crossroads in life. For instance, if you plan to start a family, consider that the arrival of children prompts a whole host of faith-based decisions: the traditions you will pass down, the rituals you will observe, the values you will instill. It is wise to have your eyes wide open to the implications of facing all of life’s ups and downs with a partner who may not share your deepest beliefs.

Christian dating tip #3: Establish your boundaries—and hold them. There isn’t a single set of criteria for what it takes to be “spiritually compatible .” For some it is enough to know their partner believes in God. Others may feel it is necessary to be with someone from the same faith, or even within the same denomination. It will help to know clearly where you stand on the subject, as you size up the potential of a new relationship. Ask yourself: To what degree must my partner and I share similar beliefs? How much room for differences I am comfortable with?

Christian dating tip #4: Don’t be afraid to use your veto power. If you honestly conclude that the spiritual distance between you and your partner is too great to overcome, then say so now. It’s possible that your Christian beliefs could influence the other person over time—but don’t count on it. Keeping your faith sometimes means having the courage to say no to a compromise you can’t stand behind in the long run.

The purpose of all faith is to live with wisdom, honesty, and grace. Apply those qualities to your search for a lasting relationship—and have the courage to honor your deeply held convictions.

Farmers finding love on niche online dating site

For country folks, dating has its own particular issues. In small communities, everyone already seems to know one another, and finding someone from outside your town can mean searching long and wide.

But, as Michelle Miller reported, there’s one dating site that aims to help you find a date quickly, so you won’t have to wait until the cows come home.

When Morgan Welper was searching for her soul mate, she knew exactly what she wanted. Welper recalled, “I was looking for a dairy farmer. I like cows. I had grown up on a farm myself and I wanted that lifestyle for myself and for my kids.”

And she discovered she wasn’t finding that guy in the usual places.

Welper said, “I could have gone out to the bars, and I did. I had horrible experiences.”

So Welper went online to a dating website called Her profile picture — a photo of herself with a cow — left no doubt about whom she was hoping to meet. The photo caught the eye of Nate Kliebenstein.

Kliebenstein, asked if it’s hard for a dairy farmer to meet a girl, said, “Yeah, you don’t exactly get out very much.”

The two began to see each other. Welper would travel nearly three hours on weekends to meet Kliebenstein at his farm in tiny Darlington, Wisconsin.

Their dates were not exactly typical, instead of a bar or restaurant, they’d meet in the milking parlor.

Welper said, “We’d always have the radio playing on in here so if a slow, sappy song would come on, we would like, slow dance with each other.” was launched in 2005, after Ohio-based marketer Jerry Miller noticed a problem among some of his rural clients. Miller said, “If you walk out your front door in New York City, there’s 10,000 people within a half-a-mile. When you walk out your front door out in the country, there might be one person within 10 miles.”

Once ridiculed as the last resort for losers, online dating has exploded. Since the sites launched, the two biggest dating sites — and eHarmony — boast a combined 151 million users. And newer, niche sites are allowing people to weed through those numbers to find exactly what they’re seeking.

Helen Fisher, a biological anthropologist, said, “Psychologists really know that we tend to gravitate to people who are from the same socioeconomic background, same level of intelligence, same level of good looks, same religious and social values and somebody with the lifestyle that you’re used to.”

Kliebenstein said, “When you’re marrying someone that farms, you’re marrying their career, not just the person.”

After dating for two years, Kleibenstein and Welper got engaged, and then married. Last fall, they had a daughter — Evelyn.

Miller added that now has one million users — more than the founders ever imagined possible.

Finding Love

I’ve always considered myself to be an intelligent, independent woman. I earned my college degree on scholarship while raising four kids alone. I worked a corporate job and supported my family by myself for many years. I have things figured out and I always have a plan.

I have to let go of this notion that things are supposed to happen by a certain time. I have to let go of cultural expectations that women are “old and washed up” if not married by a certain age, somehow undesirable, or something is wrong with them.

Life would be so much easier if we could have a one-size-fits-all answer to loaded questions. And this is one! Why? Because it triggers all kinds of other questions you should also be asking yourself. Here are four key questions to ask as your new romance unfolds during the holiday season:

You probably already know that your credit scores are used by banks, credit card issuers, car dealerships, insurance companies and more to determine the risk of lending you money or providing services, but it seems that there is a very real connection between your love life and your credit score.

Stop obsessing about finding love

A lot of the letters I get asking for advice are from people who worry they’ll never find love. I’m 27 and still single! they wail, or I’m almost 30 and all my friends are married! And while it’s certainly natural to desire love and companionship and to get a little antsy about finding it, the idea that time is running out or that one should be married or at least in a long-term committed relationship by a certain age is not only wrong, it’s potentially damaging.

Yes, love is pretty wonderful. Yes, being with a committed partner can feel fantastic and safe and all those things in great movies and books. But it’s definitely not the only thing in life worth living for — hell, it doesn’t even guarantee happiness, so why not focus on things one can control and enjoy being single until Cupid points his little arrow your way?

I didn’t meet my now-husband until I was almost 30, which, according to a lot of people, is OLD to still be single, and we didn’t get married until I was almost 33 — downright ancient in some people’s minds.

In my mind, though, I was ready to find love and maybe even get married, not because I felt old — I didn’t! — or that all my friends were married — they weren’t! — or that society was pressuring me to settle down — it wasn’t! I was ready because I knew what I wanted from my future and from a partner, had a pretty full and rich life that I was ready to share with someone special, and I felt prepared to make the kinds of sacrifices and compromises doing so might entail.

I did things to make finding the right person easier: I made room for him in my life; I tried to be the kind of person who would attract the kind of man I was looking for; and I let my social circle know I was ready and willing to be set up. The one thing I didn’t do — or, I should say I stopped doing — was obsess about when and whether I’d ever meet Mr. Right.

It wasn’t an accident that I didn’t obsess over finding love — it was a deliberate, conscious decision I’d made months before meeting my now-husband on a blind date (giving my social circle the go-ahead to set me up worked wonders!).

My 30th birthday was creeping up and I was sick of feeling like I hadn’t reached enough milestones to really celebrate it. I was tired of thinking that I — and the life I was creating for myself — wasn’t enough, and that I lacked the one, big important thing that would somehow validate everything else.

And that’s when I realized it. I looked around at all my friends, most of whom were several years older and still single, and I realized I didn’t need a relationship to be happy. In fact, it was my single friends that seemed the happiest. and I was right there with them.

I thought about all the fun we had together and realized that being single was pretty great. I still hoped to find love eventually. I still wanted a relationship, but I decided until it happened (because by then it was a matter of when, not if), I was going to enjoy the hell out of my single life and take advantage of all my free time to nurture the friendships I’d grown to value so much.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that when I re-directed my focus from finding love to living my life fully, it wasn’t long before love found me. And when it did, I have to be honest, I’d become so comfortable in my single life, I suddenly wasn’t even sure I really was ready for the kinds of sacrifices and compromises I’d have to make for it.

I was tested, you see — my love was halfway across the country. And the thing I learned, the thing that bears reminding for those of you still pining for someone special, is that when love comes, it doesn’t suddenly make life easier and tie everything up in a nice, pretty bow. In fact, sometimes love — even at its very best (and when it’s good, it’s wonderful) — can tear through your world like a hurricane, shifting and reorganizing things you long-thought were settled in place.

So until it happens for you (because it really is a matter of when, not if), go enjoy things exactly where you like them. You’ll be doing storm clean-up before you know it.

10 Tips for Finding True Love and Happiness

In their new book Love for Grown-ups: The Garter Brides’ Guide to Marrying for Life When You’ve Already Got a Life . the Garter Brides (Ann Blumenthal Jacobs, Tish Rabe and Patricia Ryan Lampl), a sisterhood of girlfriends who wore the same garter at their weddings, offers lots of tips for women over 40, including how to meet and marry the man of your dreams, and how to have the life you want and the happiness you deserve! Here are their top ten tips:

1. Leave the past in the past
When you meet someone new, leave any negative feelings or past heartbreaks just where they should be—in the past.

2. You won’t meet someone new in your living room
Well, maybe a cute guy will deliver your new sofa, but chances are you’re going to meet someone by getting out there and trying new things—online dating, taking a class, etc. Tell everyone, especially your married friends, that you’re looking to meet someone and ALWAYS go to parties. Because you truly never know who you ll meet.

3. Give the guy a chance
When you were 20 your list was he must be tall, dark and handsome. Try going against type. It just might be a perfect fit.

4. Look at blind dates like a first date
Two of the authors of our book met their husbands on blind dates, and you can too! If you’re not sure you want to sit in a noisy restaurant, go out and do something fun. One of our Garter Brides went to a baseball game, and she and her date each brought a friend. They had a blast and got married one year later.

5. Time is on your side
Take your time in getting to know your guy and don’t feel in a rush to meet his children or have him meet yours. It starts with the two of you. Make sure this is someone you want in your life.

6. Isn’t it romantic?
Just because you’re meeting the love of your life later in life doesn’t mean you can’t still have passionate, amazing sex! The Garter Brides say “Go for it!”

7. Someone to come home to
When you’re ready to move in together you will discover how wonderful it is to come home to the one you love. Be prepared for some give and take—for example, over which of each others belongings stay or go.

8. What’s up with a pre-nup?
Remember that a pre-nup isn’t because you think your marriage isn’t going to work—it’s so you get to decide how your assets and everything you’ve worked for can be protected.

9. Your wedding, your way
Now you’re in love and it’s time to have your wedding exactly how you want it. The Garter Brides have had all kinds of weddings! Remember it is all about you and the man of your dreams. Whatever you want is the way to go.

10. Happily ever after can happen to you
Remember what the Garter Brides always say: “It’s never too late to find true love. We did, and you can too!’

3 Ways to Find a Mortgage Lender #finding #a #lender #for #a #home #loan

How to Find a Mortgage Lender

Typically it is not hard to find a lender. Perhaps as a result of this, almost half of borrowers don’t shop around for a mortgage. [1] However, even a small difference in the rate of interest for a loan can amount to a lot of money over the life of a 30-year mortgage. Before settling on a mortgage, you should shop around to find the best rate available.

Steps Edit

Method One of Three:
Understanding the Basics Edit

Know your credit score. You can get a free credit report online. If you have good credit, you can use this in negotiations to bargain for a better deal. If you don’t, you should determine what is bringing down your credit. Try to settle any outstanding obligations to increase your credit and get a better deal. [2]

  • In the current market, a credit score of 740 is ideal for mortgages, but a score higher than 650 will typically qualify you for some sort of loan.
  • In addition to fixing false charges or paying off old debts, a good way to increase your score is to pay down your credit cards. Your credit score is based on what percentage of your available credit is used. If you have a card with a small maximum balance – for example, a department store card – paying this down could instantly .increase your score by 20 points. [3]
  • There are a few ways to check your credit score. Government regulations entitle you to a fee report through, though this will not include your actual score. Other websites offer “free” reports that include scores, but they often have hidden fees. [4]

Consider all costs. Sometimes what looks like a low-interest rate is not so great when fees are factored in. Ask for the annual percentage rate (APR), which includes points, broker fees, and credit charges. Ask for a full list of fees and an explanation of their meaning.

Be prepared to pay 20% down. The larger the down payment, the lower your interest rate will be. If you pay less than 20% you might be required to purchase a private mortgage insurance that might increase your monthly payments by approximately $100. [5]

  • If you are not able to pay 20% down, ask your lender if you qualify for assistance from the FHA (Federal Housing Administration), VA (Veterans Administration), or Rural Development Services.
  • Also ask about points. These are fees paid to the lender or the broker for the loan. Ask for points to be quoted in a dollar amount.
  • Determine if the rate you are quoted is for an adjustable-rate loan. If so, be wary because the rate might go up over time. Ask if your loan will also go down when rates do. [6]

Gather documents. You will need to provide a comprehensive accounting of your income, assets, debts, and payment information in order to get a mortgage. Requirements vary with the lender and the particulars of your financial situation. There are, however, some standard documents that are required.

  • These include: your W-2’s for the last two years (if you earn a paycheck), your 1099 forms (if you are self-employed), recent paycheck stubs, recent tax returns, a complete list of debts (credit cards, mortgages, car notes, and student loans), assets (including bank statements, mutual funds, investments), and records of recent mortgage or rent payments. 7 Steps To Finding Love on Facebook

I feel like I’ve discovered a little known secret for meeting high quality men! I stumbled upon a Facebook group for singles by accident. If you’re active on Facebook as I am for my work, you are sometimes offered suggestions of groups to join. I used to ignore them, but recently I decided what the heck, I will try one. This was a group specifically for 40-50 year-old Jewish singles, which is my demographic.

What I found was incredible; many of the same faces I had seen on were in this group. But they were no longer static profiles of strangers. These were men who were actively engaged in interesting discussions, mostly about relationships. I got to learn about their personalities and values. Men who had previously ignored my emails were now talking to me in the Facebook group. Many sent friend requests. I ve been getting to know a few more intimately, and it’s only a matter of time before we start dating.

How can you find love on Facebook? There are thousands of Facebook groups online, created by members to discuss specific topics and share photos, video clips and links to online content. There is no Facebook directory or yellow pages, but you can view and access all groups in a particular subject category by using the Facebook Search tool.

Sign into your Facebook account. Click inside the search box above the news feed on your Facebook homepage. (There’s a little magnifying glass in the right-hand corner.)

Type one or two keywords into the Search box; for example, you can enter a broad subject keyword, such as singles, or be more specific and enter Christian Singles or Christian Singles 40-50.

You may get a list of groups in the drop-down menu. If you do, click on the one you want to join. If you want to see other groups, click See More Results at the bottom of the drop-down menu to open the results of your keyword search on a new page.

You might have to click the Groups tab in the left-hand menu to filter search results and show only Facebook Groups, rather than Facebook Pages, applications, people and other Facebook content. In my search, I didn’t have to complete this step.

Scroll through the list of results to view all Facebook Groups in your keyword category. Click on the group’s name to access its homepage. To join the group, click the join group button at the top of the page. So easy!

Some groups are closed and you must request permission to join. Click the join group link and someone will probably add you to the group. They are usually not very discerning.

Now, have fun! Join in the conversation. If you see someone whose comment you like, click on his/her photo and check out their profile. If s/he has an open profile, you’ll be able to find out a lot of information. Look at their photos. See what they do for fun. Vacation photos are popular on Facebook. Do you enjoy the same types of activities? If you like what you see, send a friend request and start a private Facebook conversation.

It’s important to be open about meeting your match anywhere. Whether it’s at the library, grocery store, or through social media, there really are so many eligible singles out there. Sometimes love shows up in the most surprising way. What are you waiting for? Get out there and make some Facebook Group magic happen today!

Sandy, this is great information! Thanks for sharing

I m glad you found this helpful. I feel like a kid in a candy store. So much fun to meet new people in these groups, and it s free. Who knew?

Finding love on Facebook is not that easy. And when you say join Facebook groups, yes there are few groups where you will definitely find genuine people but most groups are filled with spam. I came across this website called and this website actually connects Facebook singles. Once a user will register here then he or she can check out the dating profile of other users and also will get a link of Facebook profile of users to directly connect on Facebook. And the best part is this website is totally free.

I guess your readers should check this website out. And what I have found is that most users registered on this website are above 40.

Hope this information will help others.

#find a girlfriend

Finding A Boyfriend or Girlfriend

Finding a special someone can be tricky, but there are things you can do to help get yourself out there and find that significant other.

Dating different types of people is good, even if only to make us realise what we don’t want

The agony of choice

With all those millions of fit, eligible fish in the sea, you’d think it would be easy to find a suitable boyfriend or girlfriend. But sometimes it feels like the hardest thing in the world.

One by one, all those fish get ticked off the list. Either they’re not the right one for you, or worse still they’re perfect – but aren’t interested.

So how do you go about finding that special someone?

You can’t expect to get it right first time, so going on dates is a good way to test people out. Most of us go through our share of dull hotties, exciting weirdos, nasty charmers and kind ogres in the quest for true romance. Either that or it’s a long barren spell. Experimenting with different types of people is good, even if only to make us realise what we don’t want.

You need a bit of luck to find someone good, but you can make your own luck. That simply means putting yourself in situations where you meet new people. It could be a party, an after-school club, a new hobby, the gym, a charity event, a speed-dating event or even a website. You don’t have to hold up a sign saying ‘I’m single’. Just be approachable and friendly and who knows what might happen. You could work on your chatting-up skills too.

If it never seems to happen, remember there’s no rush, especially when you’re young and fancy-free. Some people have a new snogging partner every week, but you have to ask yourself whether you want a fling or something more meaningful. If it’s the latter, you might have to be patient before you hook up with your prize catch, but when it does happen, it will be worth the wait!

Same sex relationships

Under-18s can have a hard time meeting people as the gay scene is largely focused on bars and clubs.

But help is at hand. There are a number of youth groups, publications, websites and helplines dedicated to helping you link up with others.

Pride festivals are outdoor events for Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender people that take place every summer around the UK.

They basically involve hundreds or sometimes thousands of gay guys and girls having fun in a big park.

Persuade a mate or two to go along with you. You never know who you might meet.
